Sing Your Way Through Phonics Combos
Combos combine a Sing Your Way Through Phonics CD (available in either teacher’s voice or children’s voices) and its associated Mini-Charts with a single volume Song Lyrics Booklet at a reduced price. A helpful Teaching Suggestions Booklet is included with each combo.
Target letters, words, spelling patterns, and concepts are represented graphically on 8.5”x11” Mini-Charts, providing a visual link to print. Students point to the Mini-Charts as each example is addresed in the song. Instrumental tracks on the CD allow singers to substitute their own examples and to print or draw them on Mini-Chart templates. The Teaching Suggestions Booklet contains a basic lesson plan for teaching the songs and song-specific tips, as well as additional examples that can be substituted in each song.
Ready-to Read
Combo
To prepare students for reading, they need to learn to recognize the sounds within words. The songs in the Sing Your Way Through Phonics Ready to Read! Combo, provide students with needed practice in rhyming, alliteration, segmenting words into component sounds, and blending those sounds into whole words. This Combo’s Mini-Charts combine delightful color illustrations with fun song lyrics to capture the interest of your pre-school and kindergarten students. The scope and sequence for Ready to Read is:

Volume 1 takes students from letter recognition, through letter-sound matching, to reading short words. Along the way, they learn some simple spelling rules for long and short vowel words and a few exceptions to the rules, as well. Each CD in these Combos contains 10 songs in both voice and instrumental tracks.
